Cna/Huc, Outpatient Department- Waukesha Memorial And Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals- 0.5 FTE

We Are Hiring: CNA/HUC- WMH & OMH Outpatient Dept- 0.5 FTE

Schedule: Day shift hours between 730-1600, 8-hour shifts to equal 40 hours in 2 weeks. Position will be working between Waukesha Memorial Hospital and Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in the outpatient department.

Pay: From $18/hour

Full Time / Part Time: Part Time with Benefits

FTE: 0.50

What You Will Do:

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and assists in the general nursing care of patients, provides customer service and clerical support to the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. Enters charge data and supports department operations.

Some of the duties include but are not limited to:

• Provides exceptional patient and family centered care under the guidance of the RN.
• Reports unusual observations or changes in patient condition to the RN, collaborating to meet the safety needs of the patient in a timely fashion.
• Assists with systematic, on-going, data collection with required documentation in the EHR.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in a professional, collegial manner.
• Assists with environmental and patient rounding. Cleaning of equipment and environment. Requests equipment and environmental maintenance as needed.
• Carefully manages, organizes and completes work in spite of interruptions and requests by others. Able to balance patient care assignment including admissions, transfers and discharge Updates EHR with admission, discharge and transfer information. Documents patient form collection in patient record.
• Supports the healthcare team by answering phone, confirming consults as requested, entering unit charges, patient assignments and ordering supplies.

What You Will Need:

• WI Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or expired on registry
• Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
• Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
