Job Description
HJ Staffing is looking for a CNA-Nursing Facility to support a high-standard nursing facility. This role combines the hands-on care of a Certified Nurse Aide with the technical responsibilities of a Medication Technician. You will be a vital link in the clinical team, ensuring residents receive both their prescribed medications and the daily living support necessary for their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Administration: Safely prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all clinical protocols and safety standards.
Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
Clinical Monitoring: Observe residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to the nursing lead.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records of medication administration and resident care in the facility's management system.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, HIPAA privacy rules, and safety regulations to ensure a secure environment.
Required Credentials & Compliance
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess and maintain the following documentation:
- Licensure & Registry:
- Active CNA Certification and Med Tech (MT) Certification.
- Online License Verification.
- Background & Security:
- RI FBI/BCI - National Criminal Background Check.
- Criminal Background Check.
- OIG and EPLS/GSA Search.
- State and National Sex Offender Search.
- Health & Immunizations:
- Physical (No Expiration Date).
- PPD's (2 Skin Tests or QuantiFeron); Positive PPD results require a Chest X-Ray (No Expiration Date).
- Annual TB Questionnaire.
- MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (Series, Titer, or Immunizations/Declination).
- Influenza Vaccination and TDAP (No Expiration Date).
- Training & Certifications:
- BLS Certification.
- CEU Dementia Training.
- Annual Mandatory Training Attestation Form.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in a nursing facility or long-term care environment is preferred
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in medication dosing and resident documentation.
Independence: A self-starter who can work efficiently under general direction.
