Job Description
Barnes Molding Solutions has an exciting career opportunity for a CNC Machinist with experience in gun drilling/ milling/ turning. This position requires a forward thinker with the knowledge and ability to manufacture precision parts for the Plastic Injection Industry. This role will require travel to our Peabody MA site for training. Core Responsibilities:
Read and understand engineering drawings to manufacture parts.Determine the appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining process needed to produce a high-quality metal part.Set up and run CNC Mills and CNC gun drill in a timely mannerProduce high quality products.Check all machined parts to the dimensions specified on the engineering drawing and conform to all operator certification requirements.Maintain a safe work environment.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Work to verbal and written instructions.Support an environment of growth and enthusiasm with other associates.
Qualifications:
10 years' experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge of tooling and machining techniquesAbility to work independently.Good math skillsUse of measuring toolsKnow and understand "Quality at the source"Understand and practice safe working methodsJob Shop experienceSolidWorks/MasterCam experienceCNC milling and/or gun drilling experience.Be willing to work to ISO / QS 9000 standards and have a commitment to continuous improvement
