Job Description
CNC Lathe MachinistLocation: Saxonburg, PA Schedule: 8-hour shifts (1st & 2nd) | Overtime Available Pay: $26–$30/hour Type: Temp-to-Hire (600-hour measuring period)We are hiring skilled CNC Lathe Machinists to support precision manufacturing of industrial equipment in a modern production facility. This role requires strong setup capability, machining knowledge, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a performance-driven environment. - 8-hour shifts
- Overtime available weekly
- Optional Saturday overtime available
- Perform complete CNC lathe setups, changeovers, and first-piece verification
- Read, interpret, and edit G-code and conversational programs
- Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and offsets to optimize performance
- Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain production efficiency
- Conduct in-process electronic and dimensional quality inspections
- Machine steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, and engineered plastics
- Maintain machines and ensure safe, organized work areas
- Strong understanding of machining techniques, CNC operations, and tooling strategies
- Proficient in blueprint reading and machining math
- Advanced metrology skills using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision tools
- Experience holding tight tolerances in a production environment
- Strong computer and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and focus
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Drug screen and background check required
- Familiarity with standard machinist hand tools
- Standard shop PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots
