Job Description

Northern Gear & Machining is seeking experiencedCNC Operator/Machinist for 1st & 2nd Shifts to collaborate with a team dedicated to the success of our customers. There is a $2 shift premium for 2nd shift. $18 per hour starting pay!

Responsibilities:

Operating Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills OR Lathes, Gear Hobs
Working with Engineering & other Team Members
Working from a blueprint or drawing with specifications
Using a variety of precision measuring devices
Adhering to Quality Assurance requirements including first piece inspections and recording of measurement data
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Familiar and ISO standards and follow all standards and procedures
Striving for continuous improvement
Be able to work in a cell structure operating 2-3 machines at a time

Qualifications:

Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
A positive attitude
Achieve, maintain, and establish productivity and quality requirements
Zero defect quality mentality
2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
