Job Description

LOCATION: Hesston, Kansas

We’re seeking a skilled Machinist with strong experience in both manual and CNC operations to support prototype and production machining. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to create precision parts, contribute technical insight, and ensure top-quality results.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce precision parts and prototypes.
Interpret engineering drawings and models to determine machining processes.
Perform first article inspections and record dimensional data.
Collaborate with engineers to optimize part designs for manufacturability.
Maintain and calibrate measurement tools and equipment.
Assist in developing fixtures and tooling for machining.
Provide feedback on tolerances, finishes, and machining challenges.

Requirements:

Proficient in manual and CNC machining (Haas mills and lathes).
Ability to program, set up, and run tight-tolerance parts (+/- .0005”).
Skilled in reading blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
Experienced with a range of materials including metals and plastics.
Proficient in precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.).
Self-motivated and capable of troubleshooting complex machining issues.
Strong communicator and team collaborator.
