Location: Owasso, OKPay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experienceJob Type: Full-TimeShifts Available: 1st, 2nd, and Weekend
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–2:30 AM
- Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM — Work 36 hours and get paid for 40!
Job Description
HireCall is seeking experienced CNC Machinists with strong Mazak lathe setup and operating experience for full-time opportunities in Owasso, OK.
We are looking for skilled, dependable machinists who can independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment while maintaining high standards for precision, quality, and productivity.
Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience with Mazak CNC lathes, Mazatrol programming, blueprint interpretation, and precision measuring instruments. Experience with multi-axis machining, live tooling, or 5-axis equipment is a plus.
This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who is comfortable working independently in a high-mix, low-volume precision manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Independently set up and operate Mazak CNC lathes, including QT, Nexus, Integrex, or similar machines.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machine offsets.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Make program edits using Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to optimize machining performance.
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machine alarms, tooling issues, and machining problems.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with Mazak CNC lathes.
- Proven ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment.
- Experience with Mazatrol conversational programming and/or G-code editing.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mazak Integrex, multi-axis, or 5-axis machining.
- Experience with live tooling and complex part setups.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience with SPC or ERP production reporting systems.
- Technical or vocational machining training.
- Forklift experience or certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials.
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery, machining fluids, and shop equipment.
