Job Description
Title: CNC Machinist
Type: Full Time - Second Shift
Location: Bedford, NH - Onsite
Our client is seeking a CNC Machinist with a strong commitment to producing high‑quality work within established timelines. The ideal candidate will be capable of operating both HAAS mill and lathe machines and may have the opportunity to work a second shift or split shift.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture fixtures to support new product development.
- Set up and operate HAAS 3‑axis and 5‑axis milling machines.
- Set up and operate HAAS production lathes.
- Review and validate new CNC programs, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
- Inspect finished parts to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of CNC machining operations, blueprint reading, tooling setup, and quality control practices.
- Ability to safely and effectively set up and run machine shop equipment.
- Capable of loading materials, monitoring machining processes, and making adjustments as needed.
- Skilled in inspecting parts using standard measurement tools and techniques.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all machining tasks.
- Knowledge of correct feeds, speeds, and tooling selection.
- Proven experience working directly from technical prints.
- Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to adapt quickly and switch tasks based on production requirements.
- Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
- Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to assist where needed.
- Accurate documentation and record‑keeping skills.
- Organized, with the ability to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Experience with Swiss CNC screw machines is a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
