CNC Machinist | 2nd Shift/1st ShiftBaxter Springs, KS | Through Penmac StaffingAre you an experienced CNC Machinist looking for a stable career with excellent pay and a 4-day work week? Penmac Staffing is now hiring skilled CNC Machinists for a leading precision manufacturing company in Baxter Springs, Kansas.Shift:
- Monday - Thursday
- 1st shift: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
- Starting at $21.00 per hour (based off work history and performance)
- 12% Shift Differential for 2nd shift
- Four-day work week

- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment
- Perform complete machine setups including tooling, fixtures, workholding devices, guide bushings, and bar feeders
- Adjust machine offsets, tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize production
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
- Produce precision components to customer and engineering specifications
- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and comparators
- Monitor machine performance and tool life
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues
- Complete basic machine maintenance and upkeep
- Document inspection results and production data accurately
- Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production teams to improve processes
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Follow all quality, safety, and ISO/QMS requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC setup and operation experience
- Proven experience with at least one of the following: Citizen Swiss, Captain L370, Mori-Seiki, Haas VF4, or Mazak Integrex
- Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, workholding, and process optimization
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T specifications
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dedication to safety and continuous improvement
