Job Position: CNC MachinistLocation: Claremore, OK 74019Pay Rate: $20.00/hrShift: 6: 30amDescription:Stand-By Personnel is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for placement with K&B Machining in Claremore, OK. This position involves setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced machine shop environment.Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Load materials and verify proper setup before machining operations
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and offsets as required
- Monitor operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and tolerances
- Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Make program edits or machine adjustments (G-code knowledge preferred)
- Troubleshoot machining and production issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA standards
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Follow all safety guidelines from both Stand-By Personnel and K&B Machining
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and understand basic GD&T
- Experience with CNC controls such as Haas, Fanuc, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Experience in a job shop or custom machining environment
- Ability to complete setups with minimal supervision
- Experience with multi-axis machines
- Familiarity with tooling selection and cutting parameters
- Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as needed
- Stand for extended periods during shifts
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Perform repetitive movements including bending and reaching
- Work safely around machinery and industrial equipment
- Industrial machine shop setting in Claremore, OK
- Position may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire through Stand-By Personnel
- Exposure to noise, metalworking fluids, and moving machinery
- Overtime may be required based on production needs
