CNC Mill Operator / Machinist
Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hourLocation: Tulsa Area, OklahomaShifts: Days & Nights Available
HireCall is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Operator / Machinist to join a manufacturing team! This position involves setting up and operating 3-axis CNC vertical milling machines with Fanuc controls to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards.
We are looking for a skilled machinist with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Available Shifts
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM
- Overtime opportunities available on both shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC vertical milling machines using Fanuc controls.
- Set tool heights, work offsets, and accurately utilize edge finders.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Perform first article inspections and ongoing quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Verify material specifications and properly identify, tag, and route finished components.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain efficient production workflows.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Accurately document production quantities, job times, and operational information.
- Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines.
- Experience with 3-axis CNC mills and Fanuc controls required.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Ability to set work offsets, tool heights, and use precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency with shop math, including fractions, decimals, and basic geometry.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and work independently.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training, technical school, or machining apprenticeship preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
