Job Description
Job Title: CNC Programmer (Mastercam / SolidWorks) Location: Saxonburg, PA Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (1st & 2nd shift available) Pay: $36–$41/hrTradeWorX is hiring an Advanced CNC Programmer to support a precision manufacturing operation in Saxonburg, PA. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity converting after 600 hours. The role is heavily focused on Mastercam programming, SolidWorks integration, and developing efficient machining strategies for high-precision components.This is a hands-on programming position requiring full program ownership, process development, and continuous optimization in a production-driven environment.Benefits & Conversion Details

- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for mills and machining centers
- Import and interpret SolidWorks models to generate accurate toolpaths and machining strategies
- Develop complete machining processes including fixture design, workholding concepts, setup sheets, tooling selection, and cutting parameters
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet tight tolerance and quality standards
- Perform program prove-outs, first article validation, and cycle time optimization
- Troubleshoot production issues related to tooling, surface finish, tolerances, and machine performance
- Minimum 5 years CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced Mastercam proficiency (full program creation, not operator-level edits)
- Strong SolidWorks experience working from 3D models and assemblies
- Expert blueprint reading skills with solid GD&T application knowledge
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, materials, and tool performance
- G-code knowledge with ability to manually edit and troubleshoot
- Experience supporting operators during live production runs
- Background in precision components or engineered product manufacturing
- Continuous improvement mindset with measurable optimization results
