Sterile Processing Tech needed to work 12 weeks in beautiful Salida, CO CERTS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS:Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification is highly preferred.CPR RequiredEssential DutiesEnsures that departmental operating standards comply with the requirements and guidelines established by regulatory and professional organizations, including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM), and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA).Under the supervision of the Sterile Processing Team Leader, prioritizes, retrieves, sorts, examines, decontaminates, and cleans surgical instruments, medical devices, and related equipment.Maintains current working knowledge of manufacturers Instructions for Use (IFUs) for the care and handling of instruments, decontamination equipment, and cleaning agents, including proper concentrations, container levels, and dilution requirements.Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with established safety protocols.Inspects, washes, and decontaminates items received from all patient care units, off-site clinics, and loaner equipment and instrument providers.Disassembles and cleans equipment according to manufacturers IFUs; inspects instruments and equipment using magnifying glasses and/or flexible inspection scopes to detect residual bioburden, assess instrument integrity, and verify proper functionality.Sterilizes instruments, equipment, and other supplies using various sterilization and reprocessing systems, including autoclaves and STERRAD systems, as well as ultrasonic cleaners and the Medivators Advantage Plus system, as appropriate.

Position Urgency:Rapid Response Crisis

Shifts:40 hours per week - start time varies from 7:30 to 9:30 am. Must be flexible with start time and end time. Call is distributed with staff and rotates. Weekends include in call schedule. Monday - Friday : 8 hours/ day.
