Coding Compliance Auditor Remote/Hybrid

Accurately audits hospital Inpatient, Ambulatory Surgery, Observation & any outpatient visit for appropriate reimbursement.

Compliance with federal & state regulations according to established ICD-10CM/PCS coding & CPT-4 procedure coding classification.

Clinical coding subject matter expert. Evaluate & analyze documentation issues consulting with medical staff.

Audits complex cases utilizing the ICD-10-cm & ICD-10-PCS nomenclature to ensure accurate APR-DRG/SOI/ROM & POA Assignments

Required qualifications:

Must have inpatient auditing experience.

Minimum 2 years ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT- 4 training.

Level 1 Trauma hospital experience or 4 years experience with coding inpatient hospital medical records

2 to 3 year ambulatory coding.

Certifications...

Must have at least 1

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)

Registered Health Information Tech (RHIT)

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)

Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
