Collections Paralegal - Prior Experience With Bankruptcy Or Litigation Required

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Collections Paralegal to join a real estate development firm in the North Brunswick, NJ area. We are looking for someone with some experience with supporting attorneys with litigation or bankruptcy cases who is looking to move into a different practice area, as training in landlord tenant collections will be provided.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $72,000– $75,000 (based on experience)

Collections Paralegal Position Responsibilities Are:

• Prepare collection cases, including demand letters, special civil complaints, judgements, subpoenas, and motions to enforce litigants' rights, bank levies, wage garnishments, etc.
• Prepare landlord/tenant complaints and file on Ecourts
• Assist attorneys by researching legal precedent, investigating facts or preparing legal documents for trial.
• Assist with scheduling and updating attorney calendars
• Assist attorneys with preparing for client meetings and court hearings
• Scan files into electronic copies for future reference

Collections Paralegal Position Requirements Are:

• 1-3 years of experience supporting attorneys with commercial litigation and/or collections or evictions cases
• Highly organized and detail-orientated with excellent communication and client relations skills
