Location: Slidell, LA (On-site)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Monarch Medical Management is seeking a full-time Collections Clerk to join our team in Slidell. In this role, you will play a key part in managing outstanding payments, handling client accounts, and ensuring efficient billing processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service while maintaining professional relationships with clients and patients.
Responsibilities:
- Contact clients to obtain updates on current case status and payment expectations
- Research civil court records and pleadings to track the status of cases in litigation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information, logs, and patient notes
- Respond to inbound calls regarding account balances, billing statements, and payment or reduction requests
- Follow up on accounts associated with attorney-dropped or inactive cases
- Prepare and file medical liens as appropriate to secure payment on accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (attorneys, clients) to resolve outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, healthcare administration, or legal studies preferred
- Familiarity with legal processes, court record research, or lien filing is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and follow up in a timely manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or billing systems
