Job Description

We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join one of our top clients—a highly respected and well-established General Contractor. This Commercial Construction Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and trade partners, the Commercial Construction Project Engineer helps ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project coordination and documentation
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings for compliance
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries
  • Assist with schedule updates, progress reporting, and meeting minutes
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues
  • Support cost control by reviewing invoices and budget updates
  • Help maintain safety, quality, and efficiency on-site
  • Participate in owner, architect, and stakeholder meetings as a Commercial Construction Project Engineer

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of commercial construction experience (Project Engineer or similar role)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
