Background
We are a family-owned commercial general contractor based in Columbus, Ohio. We are seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent with the experience and initiative to run projects from start to finish with normal oversight. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget. Ground-up construction experience is strongly preferred.
This is a full-time position offering medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k with a match, and paid time off.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Leadership
Oversee all phases of construction from site prep to closeout.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and client interactions.
Monitor and drive project schedules and milestones.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
Proactively identify issues and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Uphold high standards of workmanship across all trades.
Safety & Site Management
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times.
Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA standards.
Manage logistics for equipment, deliveries, waste hauling, and site access.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as the primary on-site contact for project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders.
Mentor field staff and promote a strong team culture.
Self-Performance
Maintain clean and presentable job sites at all times.
Perform carpentry-related tasks as needed.
Direct and assist in completion project punch out work.
Handle various repairs or small-scale construction tasks as needed.

Education & Experience
Required: 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Preferred: Ground-up construction experience.
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, safety standards, and scheduling.
Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools a plus.
License/Certification
Valid Driver’s License (required)
OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant certifications (preferred)
