Job Description
- Prepare competitive and accurate estimates for commercial electrical projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
- Build lasting relationships with general contractors, owners, and business partners.
- Help generate repeat business through exceptional service and responsiveness.
- Manage projects from award through closeout.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and scheduling.
- Monitor budgets, labor productivity, purchasing, and project profitability.
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Identify and resolve issues before they impact schedule or customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with field supervisors and electricians to ensure successful execution.
- Support crews by providing clear direction, timely information, and the resources needed to succeed.
- Partner with purchasing, warehouse, accounting, and leadership to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary contact throughout the project.
- Communicate proactively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Provide solutions—not surprises.
- Deliver projects that earn repeat business and long-term relationships.
- Master Electrician license preferred
- Previous commercial electrical estimating and project management experience
- Experience working with general contractors and commercial construction teams
- Knowledge of the Kansas City commercial construction market
- $80,000 base salary plus commissions
