Job Description

Commercial HVAC Estimator

We’re seeking a results‑driven Commercial HVAC Estimator with progressive mechanical estimating experience. Join a respected contractor with 20+ years delivering HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, controls, sheet metal, and full‑lifecycle mechanical services across commercial, healthcare, industrial, hospitality, and institutional markets.

️ What You Will Do

Lead quantity takeoffs, cost builds, and line‑item assemblies for HVAC/mechanical scopes
Review plans and specs for ductwork, piping, equipment, controls, insulation, and balancing
Prepare complete bid packages for projects ranging from $100K–$4M+
Solicit, compare, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Identify value‑engineering options while protecting margin
Collaborate with leadership to refine pricing assumptions and leverage historical data

What We Expect

3–5+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience
Strong blueprint/spec reading skills
Familiarity with chillers, RTUs, pumps, VAV/controls, piping systems
Organized, analytical, and comfortable with estimating software
Coachable, detail‑oriented, and team‑focused
