Job Description

Commercial HVAC Estimator

We are seeking a results-oriented Commercial HVAC Estimator with progressive estimating experience in mechanical construction.

What You Will Do

Lead quantity takeoffs, detailed cost builds, and line-item assemblies for commercial HVAC and mechanical scopes
Review plans/specs for ductwork, piping, equipment, controls, insulating, and balancing scopes
Prepare complete bid packages for new construction and remodel contracts ($100K–$4M+)
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Identify value-engineering opportunities while protecting margin
Work with leadership to refine pricing assumptions and model historical data

What We Expect

3–5+ years commercial HVAC estimating experience
Proficiency reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical details
Familiarity with HVAC equipment, chillers, rooftop units, pumps, VAV/controls, and piping systems
Strong analytical skills, organized documentation, and estimating software literacy
Coachable, detail-oriented, team-focused
