Job Description
Seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Nashville, TN.
This position offers free employee health insurance, dental and vision options, PTO, and 401K with a company match!
Salary is between $80,000 - $115,000
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed project estimates for HVAC construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop cost-effective solutions
- Conduct site visits and gather necessary information to accurately estimate project costs
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project budgets
- Create and submit timely and competitive bids for construction projects
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide support and guidance to project teams regarding cost control measures
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ of experience estimating for commercial HVAC projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Knowledge of estimating software, strong computer skills including Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
