Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service/Install Technicianare individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems while providing insight and training to other technicians.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
- Installation of commercial HVAC-R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
- On Call duties as required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
- 3-5+ years experience preferred.
- Ability to learn and take direction from crew foreman.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
- NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
- No fear of heights.
- Lift 50+ lbs.
- Sit, stand, and climb stairs.
Starting pay ranges from $30-$47+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
