Commercial HVAC Service Operations Manager Job Type: Full-Time (In-office) Location: Cranford, NJ Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Compensation: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (Salaried) + Performance-based bonus Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Operations Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate must have a strong commercial or industrial HVAC background and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for supervising field teams, building strong customer relationships, and managing vendor interactions to ensure efficient, high-quality service. Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in the commercial/industrial HVAC industry.
3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
Exceptional leadership, customer service, and vendor management skills. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Daily Operations
Manage, train, and support service technicians, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workload distribution to ensure safe, on-time job completion.
On-Call: Participate in a manager on-call rotation (one week/month) to handle emergency dispatching. Customer Relations & Strategic Growth
Act as the primary contact for escalated concerns and conduct site visits to build client relationships.
Assist with service quotes, proposals, and recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
Collaborate with management to identify growth opportunities and track contract renewals. Financial & Resource Management
Approve invoices, timesheets, and purchase orders, ensuring accurate billing and cost control.
Submit completed jobs to invoicing within two (2) business days and follow up on warranty credits.
Oversee inventory (tools, vehicles, truck stock) and coordinate with vendors for the best pricing. Technical Quality, Safety & Compliance
Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex HVAC issues and review job closeouts.
Enforce OSHA safety policies, conduct quarterly safety meetings, and ensure code compliance.
Track KPIs, maintain accurate service records, and oversee preventive maintenance schedules.
