Job Description
IndyRisk Insurance Advisors is a full-service independent insurance agency based in Dalton, Georgia (with an office in Adairsville), specializing in commercial insurance, workers compensation, bonds, and risk management solutions for businesses and individuals. We are seeking a driven Commercial Insurance Account Executive to join our growing sales team.
In this role, you will develop new business relationships, manage a portfolio of commercial accounts, and deliver customized insurance solutions that protect our clients operations while driving revenue growth for the agency. You will leverage our access to dozens of top insurance carriers to provide truly independent, best-in-class coverage options. This is a high-earning opportunity (base salary plus uncapped commission) for a motivated professional who thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment where honesty, hard work, and client-focused service are core values. The position is full-time, primarily in-office at our downtown Dalton location, with some flexibility.
Salary Range: $1200000.00 per year

Responsibilities
Prospect, develop, and close new commercial insurance accounts through networking, referrals, community involvement, and targeted outreach in the Georgia market.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with commercial clients by understanding their unique risks and insurance needs.
Prepare accurate, competitive quotes and presentations for new and renewal business, negotiating terms with carriers to secure the best coverage and pricing.
Manage the full account lifecycle, including onboarding new clients, handling policy changes, renewals, and providing ongoing consultative support.
Respond promptly to client inquiries, resolve service issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and activity notes within the agencys systems.
Actively participate in industry events, continuing education, and community activities to enhance IndyRisks visibility in North Georgia.
Collaborate with the agencys support team and leadership to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets.
Complete specialized training programs, including the Killing Commercial Training Program and the Institute of WorkComp Professionals (CWCA designation), to become a top-tier commercial insurance expert.
RequirementsLicensing: Must hold (or be willing to obtain within 30 days) a valid Georgia Property & Casualty insurance license. IndyRisk will cover all licensing costs and training.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance sales or account management experience preferred. Experience in workers compensation or risk management is a strong plus.
Sales & Communication Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trust quickly, listen effectively, and provide consultative advice rather than just sell policies.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with agency management systems (or quick learner) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Familiarity with insurance rating software and carrier portals is preferred.
Local Knowledge: Understanding of Georgia-specific insurance regulations, market trends, and business risks is highly valued.
Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to ethical business practices. Must demonstrate honesty and a strong work ethic.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or insurance designations (e.g., CIC, CPCU) are a plus.
Other: Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend occasional evening or community events. Work-from-home flexibility may be available after proven performance.
