- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and referrals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs.
- Present and explain commercial insurance policies including property, liability, workers compensation and business interruption coverage.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
- Provide customized insurance solutions that meet client’s needs.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in our management system.
- Proven sales experience in commercial insurance.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines and industry regulations.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Hold a state insurance license and have a minimum of five years of commercial insurance experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.
- Have experience working as a team with other insurance professionals.
- Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment, and have technology and computer proficiency including agency management systems.
- Experience with AMS 360 from Vertafore or similar Insurance Agency Management Systems.
