Job Description
Established, top-performing Farmers Insurance agency in Escondido is seeking a licensed, in-office Commercial Insurance Customer Service and Sales Representative to support and grow our commercial book of business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with business owners, handling commercial renewals, and supporting new business opportunities. You will service existing commercial accounts, process endorsements, manage renewals, and assist with the new business process by contacting interested prospects, gathering required underwriting documentation, completing applications, and submitting packages to carriers for approval.
This is a stable, full-time W-2 position with a consistent MondayFriday schedule, no weekends, and a professional in-office environment. Commercial insurance experience from any background is strongly valued, including experience working for an independent broker or agency.
Salary Range: $30.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Service existing commercial policyholders and provide professional account support
Handle commercial renewals including proactive outreach, remarketing, and follow-up
Contact interested business owners and prospects to gather underwriting information
Collect required documentation such as loss runs, driver lists, payroll, revenue, leases, COIs, and vehicle schedules
Complete commercial insurance applications accurately and submit to carriers for underwriting review
Communicate with underwriting teams to support approvals, revisions, and binding
Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, policy changes, and coverage updates
Answer billing questions, coverage inquiries, and renewal questions in a clear and professional manner
Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and policy activity
Work closely with agency leadership and teammates to meet retention and growth goals
RequirementsActive California Property and Casualty license (required)
Commercial insurance experience required (broker or independent agency experience preferred)
Experience servicing commercial accounts including renewals, endorsements, and submissions
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
Strong communication skills and professional phone presence
Comfortable working in a full-time, in-office role
Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
