Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Virginia Beach, VA!
The Account Manager position serves as the primary service contact for the client. The main purposes of this position are to provide customer service duties for customer accounts and transactions and, when necessary, to work with a service specialist to assign tasks and provide training as requested.
How You Will Contribute:
Build, expand and solidify relationships with clients at all levels within the company and lead appropriate resources to address the client's needs, including risk and the identification and resolution of underwriting or policy issues
Responsible for the day-to-day account management of client accounts, including accounts receivable
Market renewals, negotiate premiums and coverages
Compile and create proposals, summaries and additional documents as requested
Work closely with Producers and Marketing to achieve agreed upon goals for new and renewal business marketing
Develop and foster quality relationships with clients and teammates
Review, analyze and resolve policy and coverage-related concerns for clients
Operate agency operating system and basic programs such as Word and Excel as needed
Meet requirements for licensing as directed by the branch
Consistently meet all Brown & Brown established quality control procedures and timelines
Licenses & Certifications:
- Property & Casualty insurance license (if not already held, obtain within 30 days of hire)
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Minimum of 3+ year of experience in the insurance industry with a strong emphasis in commercial lines insurance preferred
Marine Insurance experience (preferred)
College degree preferred but not required with appropriate work experience
Proficient with management operating systems that support insurance sales, tracking and service
Proficient with Microsoft Tools, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Pay Range
$26.44 - $36.05 Hourly
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
