About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney with a strong background in real estate financing to join our client's team. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive legal experience and a proven ability to manage complex transactions from origination to closing. This role offers the opportunity to work on high‐value commercial deals, collaborate directly with business leaders, and provide strategic legal guidance across a wide range of real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, leases, amendments, and closing documents.
Lead and manage all aspects of real estate financing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, development loans, and credit facilities.
Conduct due diligence, analyze title surveys, and identify and mitigate legal risks.
Advise internal stakeholders and clients on real estate structures, regulatory issues, and best practices.
Coordinate with lenders, investors, brokers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Manage deal timelines and oversee closing checklists, escrow instructions, and post-closing documentation.
Provide strategic counsel on commercial leasing, property management, and asset management matters as needed.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in good standing
7+ years of commercial real estate experience, with a strong emphasis on financing, acquisitions, and complex transactions.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage multiple deals simultaneously.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong business judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with construction lending, mezzanine financing, and/or joint ventures.
Knowledge of real estate development, land use, or related commercial matters.
Familiarity with loan servicing and asset management considerations.
