Job Details
We are a boutique business law firm continuing to expand our transactional practice and are seeking an associate with 3–7 years of experience to join our team. Our practice is heavily focused on commercial real estate transactions, with additional exposure to broader corporate matters.
This role is primarily centered on real estate work, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Associates on our team are given meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction, with the opportunity to take ownership of transactions and work closely with experienced attorneys in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
We are looking for someone whose core practice area is commercial real estate, with the ability and interest to support general corporate transactional matters as needed.
Responsibilities
Lead and support commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assetsDraft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and related transactional documents for both buyers and sellersAssist with real estate financing matters, including drafting and reviewing loan documents and coordinating with lendersManage due diligence for real estate transactions, including title, survey, and related documentationCoordinate transaction timelines and work directly with clients, lenders, brokers, and opposing counselSupport general corporate transactional matters, including business acquisitions and financings, as neededProvide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients across transactions
Qualifications
3–7 years of experience with a core focus on commercial real estate transactionsDemonstrated experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and/or real estate financing mattersStrong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly with purchase and sale agreements and lease agreementsExperience working with both buyers and sellers in real estate transactionsAbility to manage multiple deals simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentExcellent research, writing, and analytical skills
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law schoolAdmission to practice in Massachusetts or have the ability to waive inStrong organizational and time management skillsClient-facing communication skills and a collaborative mindsetAbility to take ownership of transactions and work independently
