A leading global law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Associate to join its highly regarded finance practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated commercial real estate capital markets and lending transactions, including loan originations, acquisitions, securitizations, restructurings, and related finance matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling complex commercial real estate lending transactions and the ability to take an active role in managing deals from initial diligence through closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on commercial real estate finance transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine loan originations, acquisitions, and dispositions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents related to complex real estate lending transactions.
- Manage key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing, coordinating with internal teams and outside parties.
- Support capital markets and structured finance matters involving commercial real estate assets, including securitization-related work.
- Assist clients with loan servicing, workout, restructuring, and related distressed asset matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys across finance, restructuring, and real estate teams on sophisticated, high-value transactions.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of commercial real estate finance experience in a law firm setting
- Hands-on experience with commercial mortgage and mezzanine lending transactions required
- Experience serving as a key member of deal teams and managing core aspects of transactions independently
- Large law firm experience strongly preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
- J.D. from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
- Licensed or eligible for admission in the applicable U.S. jurisdiction
