A long-established Oregon family company seeks a Commercial Real Estate Lease Manager to support its real estate and timber operations. This role focuses on the accurate preparation, review, and management of commercial real estate documents once business terms have been established.
This position is not responsible for sourcing, negotiating, or structuring deals. Instead, the role ensures that approved deal terms are properly documented, executed, and maintained, and that transactions move efficiently from agreement to closing with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize commercial leases, amendments, assignments, consents, estoppels, and related documents based on approved business terms.
- Translate letters of intent and agreed deal terms into complete and accurate lease documentation.
- Maintain and manage standard lease templates, approved clauses, and document version control.
- Coordinate execution and track fully signed lease and transaction documents.
- Prepare purchase and sale agreements, deeds, assignments, bills of sale, and closing documentation consistent with approved transaction terms.
- Review title, survey, and due diligence materials for completeness and consistency.
- Track key dates, conditions, and deliverables through closing.
- Coordinate documentation flow with brokers, escrow, title companies, and outside counsel.
- Draft and manage documentation related to timber deeds, easements, licenses, permits, and related agreements.
- Maintain organized legal files, document retention systems, and executed agreements.
- Manage templates, precedent files, and documentation workflows.
- Review insurance policies and certificates for compliance with executed agreements.
- Assist with land use notices and documentation support as needed.
Qualifications
- Significant experience (5+ years preferred) in commercial real estate lease and transaction documentation.
- Experience as a senior paralegal, real estate contracts administrator, or in-house legal support professional is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently draft and manage complex real estate documentation with high accuracy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi or similar property management software is a plus.
- D. degree and/or Oregon law license is optional and not required.
