Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
Location: Miami, FL
A well-established law firm in Miami is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy transactional practice. This role involves handling commercial real estate transactions from start to finish and working closely with internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and processing of commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing
- Review contracts and related transaction documents
- Perform detailed property and title research
- Prepare closing documents and due diligence checklists
- Prepare and review title commitments, title policies, and title objection letters
- Assemble loan packages and closing binders
- Prepare settlement statements, closing disclosures, and related documentation
- Order and review surveys, inspections, and title reports
- Examine title and identify potential issues
- Track and manage deadlines throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Coordinate disbursements and closing logistics
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal
- Prior experience in a large law firm environment preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using closing software and other legal support tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and third parties
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
