Job Description

A fast-growing commercial roofing organization is seeking a sharp, motivated Commercial Roofing Estimator to join its New Jersey team. If you thrive on accuracy, enjoy solving complex project challenges, and want to play a pivotal role in winning work for a rapidly expanding division, this opportunity is built for you. You’ll be a key contributor in a high-energy environment where precision, strategy, and speed truly matter.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze drawings, specifications, photos, and site conditions to develop precise project estimates
Perform detailed takeoffs for TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, coatings, and reroof projects
Create comprehensive scopes of work and material lists
Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing, product options, and lead times
Partner closely with project managers, sales, and leadership to support competitive bid strategies
Prepare proposals, budgets, and change orders
Manage deadlines for public and private bid submissions
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience preferred
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and industry safety standards
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
Proficiency with estimating tools (Edge, Bluebeam, or equivalent)
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
