Commercial Roofing Edge Estimator
Location: Little Rock, AR, Fort Smith, AR and Texarkana, AR
Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $75,000 – $110,000 (DOE)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Edge Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for high-volume estimating of commercial roofing projects, including low-slope systems, sheet metal, and specialty architectural metal components. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, can manage multiple bids simultaneously, and is comfortable collaborating with General Contractors and Architects during preconstruction and design phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for commercial roofing edge and metal systems
- Estimate low-slope roofing, new construction, and re-roof projects
- Manage a high volume of bids across multiple project sizes and scopes
- Develop estimates for:
- Re-roof projects ranging from $100K to $2–3M
- New construction projects ranging from $100K to $120K
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure complete takeoffs
- Coordinate with GCs, architects, and internal teams to clarify scope and pricing
- Assist with design development and budget planning for upcoming projects
- Maintain pricing accuracy for labor, materials, and subcontracted work
Systems & Materials Experience
- Low-slope roofing systems
- All types of metal roofing systems, including standing seam
- Sheet metal roofing and edge details
- Waterproofing (strong plus)
- Wall panel systems, including:
- Single-skin wall panels
- Soffit panels
- IMP panels
- ACM panels
- Steel plate panels
- Specialty wall panel systems
- Wood grain finish panels (Longboard-type)
- Louvers and screen walls
- Wall panel change-outs
- Associated components including girts, hat channels, and framing systems
- Insulation systems (wall board insulation, mineral wool, etc.)
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing or Edge Estimator
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing and architectural metal systems
- Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume estimating
- Comfortable working directly with General Contractors and Architects
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in estimating software and takeoff tools
