Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, project execution, and field performance across multiple roofing crews and projects. This role is responsible for ensuring jobs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, operational oversight, and deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through completion
- Lead, mentor, and support superintendents, foremen, and field crews
- Ensure all projects meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with estimating and sales teams during project planning and handoff
- Monitor job costs, labor productivity, and overall operational efficiency
- Enforce and maintain OSHA and company safety standards across all job sites
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase profitability
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or operations role
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and P&L or job cost management
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and jobsite compliance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Familiarity with project management or construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.)
