Commercial Roofing Service Sales Manager

Location: Denver, CO

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Sales Manager to lead and grow an established commercial roofing service division. This is a leadership role focused on expanding service revenue, developing long-term client relationships, driving maintenance programs, and overseeing the successful execution of service work.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building new business, managing key accounts, leading service operations, and mentoring a high-performing service team. This position is ideal for someone who understands that exceptional customer service, responsiveness, and relationship management are the foundation for recurring revenue and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Drive growth of the commercial roofing service division through new business development and relationship management.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new service opportunities including repairs, leak investigations, preventative maintenance programs, and reroof projects.
  • Develop long-term relationships with building owners, property managers, facility managers, consultants, and general contractors.
  • Generate repeat business by delivering exceptional customer service and follow-up.
  • Promote preventative maintenance agreements and recurring service programs.
  • Conduct customer visits, roof inspections, and project walkthroughs.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and scopes of work for service projects.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently meet revenue and profitability goals.

Service Operations Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the commercial roofing service department.
  • Work closely with the Service Superintendent and Coordinators to schedule crews efficiently.
  • Ensure service calls are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Monitor work-in-progress, backlog, and customer priorities to maximize productivity.
  • Support technicians and field leaders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Perform jobsite visits to maintain quality standards and strengthen customer relationships.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key service accounts.
  • Deliver outstanding customer communication from proposal through project completion.
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Develop strategies to increase customer retention and expand existing accounts.
  • Identify additional repair, restoration, and replacement opportunities within existing customer portfolios.

Financial & Department Performance

  • Manage service department profitability while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Review estimates, pricing, and project costs to ensure healthy margins.
  • Monitor service backlog, WIP, labor utilization, and billing.
  • Partner with accounting to ensure timely invoicing and collections.
  • Track sales performance and departmental KPIs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial roofing experience with strong knowledge of service and maintenance operations.
  • Proven success selling commercial roofing service, repairs, maintenance, or reroof projects.
  • Experience building and managing customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems including:
    • TPO
    • PVC
    • EPDM
    • Modified Bitumen
    • Built-Up Roofing (BUR)
    • Metal Roofing Systems
  • Ability to estimate and prepare service proposals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
