Position Identification: Superintendent
Salaried Position OT Exempt
Reports to: VP of Operations
Position Summary:
This position involves working with existing supervisors and supervises production crews and subcontractors. This position also is responsible for implementing safety and best practices.
Job Functions:
- Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and subcontractors.
- Read and understand project field manuals of various roofing systems and manufacturers.
- Ensures company safety procedures are implemented and followed.
- Attends and participates in project meetings.
- Establish / maintain lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Estimators, etc).
- Ensure projects are completed in the most efficient manner to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Ensures customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Requirements):
- 5+ years of Commercial Roofing experience.
- Experience with various Commercial Roofing systems (i.e.- single -ply, torch, hot rubberized asphalt, metal, coatings, etc).
- Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints / shop drawings.
- Ability to multitask on various tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to travel to and manage multiple job sites.
- Computer literate in Outlook and Excel preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Working Conditions:
Physical surroundings:Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold and in windy conditions.
