Commercial Roofing Technician / Foreman
Location: Springfield, MO Pay: $25–$33/hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-Time | Commercial Roofing

An established and growing commercial roofing contractor in Springfield, MO, is looking to add experienced Commercial Roofing Technicians and Foremen to its team!
We are seeking individuals with approximately 2–5+ years of hands-on roofing experience who take pride in their workmanship, understand the importance of safety, and enjoy being part of a hardworking team.

The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working on commercial roofing systems. Candidates with crew leadership experience are especially encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Perform commercial roof installations, repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance.
Work with various low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, and Built-Up Roofing.
Identify roofing issues, troubleshoot leaks, and complete necessary repairs.
Perform tear-offs, roof preparation, flashing installation, and other commercial roofing tasks.
Safely operate roofing tools, equipment, and machinery.
Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures.
Ensure roofing work is completed efficiently and meets quality standards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and field leadership.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites.
Assist with material staging, equipment setup, and daily jobsite operations.
Additional Responsibilities for Foreman-Level Candidates:
Lead and supervise commercial roofing crews on active jobsites.
Assign daily tasks and coordinate crew activities.
Monitor productivity, workmanship, and safety compliance.
Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet company expectations.
Train, mentor, and provide direction to less experienced roofing technicians.
Communicate project updates, material needs, and jobsite concerns to management.
Lead by example while maintaining a hands-on approach in the field.
Qualifications
2–5+ years of roofing experience, preferably in commercial roofing.
Hands-on experience with TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, or other commercial roofing systems.
Ability to perform commercial roof repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Experience with roof inspections, leak detection, and troubleshooting is a plus.
Strong understanding of roofing safety practices and proper equipment usage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and positive attitude.
Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in physically demanding environments.
Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and maintain quality workmanship.
Foreman candidates should have previous crew leadership or supervisory experience.
Requirements
Candidates must:
Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Be physically capable of performing commercial roofing duties.
Be comfortable working at heights and on commercial rooftops.
Have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Be able to report to jobsites as scheduled.
