Waterproofing Estimator / Project Manager Location: Houston, TX
Pay: 80-120k
Position Summary:The Waterproofing Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for estimating projects and managing them from pre-bid through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards, while driving profitability and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections, perform take-offs, and develop detailed scopes of work
- Prepare accurate estimates, bids, proposals, submittals, and change orders
- Source and secure competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Manage projects from award through closeout, including scheduling, purchasing, invoicing, and cost control
- Review contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and material slips for scope accuracy and compliance
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Track and manage labor and material costs to protect margins and maximize revenue
- Maintain equipment, inventory, and up-to-date supplier pricing
- Lead production teams and participate in pre-bid, kickoff, and progress meetings
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, resolving questions, disputes, and outstanding balances
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and enforce all safety policies
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of waterproofing estimating experience
- 4+ years of construction project management experience
- Proficiency in Edge (or similar estimating software), Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable conducting take-offs and visiting job sites (approximately 50% travel; must be comfortable working at heights)
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job site activities
