Position Overview
Skagit River Steel & Recycling, Inc. under the ABC Recycling umbrella group of companies is seeking a Commercial Truck Driver to be based out of our Burlington, WA location to operate our trucks hauling scrap metal to and from different locations to our Skagit Valley location. Occasionally, you may need to haul material to and from other ABC locations and partner companies.
The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record along with experience operating semi- trucks and front load trucks. The ability to complete daily logs and reports and carry out the instructions is also essential. Responsibilities
- Performs pre/post-trip inspections of the vehicle assigned to drive.
- Communicates with customers in a professional manner.
- Carries out general safety practices of a commercial driver.
- Follows guidelines for safe load securement.
- Carries out instructions from Dispatch in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete daily logs and reports.
Qualifications
- Must have valid Commercial Driver Licenses (Class A CDL) with air brakes.
- Preferably 3-4 years’ experience.
- Experience with roll-offs, semi-trucks preferred.
- Experience with front load trucks is desirable.
- Prior experience in scrap metal recycling or demolition would be beneficial.
