Description

Step into a highly autonomous, statewide leadership opportunity in Jackson, MS with an established commissioning and sustainability consulting firm known for helping building owners achieve high-performing, efficient, and sustainable facilities. This Commissioning Mechanical Engineer, PE position offers the chance to review designs, oversee commissioning, and lead projects across the state without design production or stamping liability.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commissioning Mechanical Engineer, PE position include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and the ability to obtain or maintain Mississippi PE licensure
Review mechanical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and construction documents
Manage commissioning projects from planning through final closeout across Mississippi
Oversee HVAC and building mechanical systems commissioning activities, site visits, and functional performance testing
Observe, document, and report on testing procedures performed by contractors
Communicate with owners, contractors, design teams, electrical commissioning professionals, and project stakeholders
Work independently as a self-starter while managing multiple projects statewide
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and read drawings, specifications, submittals, blueprints, and technical document

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
