Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Director of Communications, the Communications & Marketing Intern will support PHI Aviation’s communications and marketing initiatives and strategy. Responsibilities may include copywriting, researching and graphic design efforts to create internal email communications, social media posts, press releases, website updates, etc. This role will work closely with the Communications Director to create informative and engaging content and creative materials that showcase the PHI culture, brand, vision and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in researching, developing and implementing engaging and informative content that ensures consistent and clear messaging throughout communication channels
Work collaboratively with the Communications Director and across departmental teams to create copy and design for communications materials, which may include internal emails, social media posts, website content, press releases, informational brochures and other communication and marketing materials
Participate in collaborative discussions to ideate and plan upcoming communication and marketing campaigns and strategies
Assist in tracking and analyzing engagement metrics to evaluate campaign success
Collaborate with internal teams to obtain photos and information as needed for communication and marketing initiatives
Assist in the copyediting process to ensure content is accurate, brand-conforming and free of mistakes
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English or a related field.
Strong research, proofreading and written and oral communications skills for quality and accuracy.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Must be able to adapt to changing business needs and responsibilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
