Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Communications, RF, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in communications systems engineering, RF engineering, network integration, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating communications systems across complex platforms or distributed operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of LOS/BLOS architectures, tactical datalinks, IP networking, resilience principles, and secure networking or encryption technologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to assess third-party solutions and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Must possess, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Department of Defense, tactical communications, SATCOM, software-defined radio, or military network architectures.
  • Experience supporting unmanned, autonomous, maritime, or command-and-control systems.
  • Experience operating or testing communications in contested or electronically degraded environments.
  • Experience working directly with military users, defense customers, or operational end users.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, military communications qualifications, or vendor-specific training.

Why This Role Matters

Reliable communications are fundamental to every autonomous platform and mission system delivered by Marcurius. This role turns communications architectures into working, tested, and supportable platform capability, helping ensure that radios, networks, datalinks, satellite systems, and command-and-control interfaces operate together reliably in real-world conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite in engineering, integration, and testing environments, including aboard vessels and in confined technical spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during testing and sea trials.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for supplier visits, testing, demonstrations, and operational support.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

  • Onsite engineering and integration environment with direct involvement in prototype development and sea trials.
  • Fast-paced development cycles with aggressive timelines and changing priorities.
  • Regular interaction with customers, end users, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
