Overview
Job Description
PEMCCO is seeking qualified Communications Engineers (Senior and Junior levels) to support a major metropolitan transit agency's 900 MHz to 800 MHz spectrum transition initiative. These positions will operate within the client's engineering environment and provide technical analysis, engineering support, and system evaluation for mission-critical rail communications systems.
The selected engineers will support activities including RF system performance evaluation, interference analysis, design review support, field verification, and transition readiness assessment. Work will be performed in a staff augmentation capacity, supporting the client's engineering authority without providing prescriptive design direction.
This role requires experience in land mobile radio (LMR) systems, RF propagation, DAS environments, and transit or mission-critical communications systems, with the ability to operate in complex, interference-prone environments.
