Primary Skills: Public Relations (Expert), Media Relations (Expert), Campaign Management (Advanced), Communications (Advanced), Crisis Management (Advanced) Contract Type: W2 Location: Arlington, VA or New York, NY (#LI-Onsite) Duration: 7 Months Pay Range: $86 - $90 per hour#LPJob Summary:Seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead policy communications, manage media relations, and execute communication strategies that support business and policy objectives in the U.S. The role involves creating impactful communications campaigns, managing relationships with media and policymakers, and providing strategic counsel on public policy issues. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee external communications programs and events aligned with state policy goals.
- Build and sustain local and regional media relationships.
- Design and implement communications campaigns in collaboration with state policy partners to inform on local policy issues.
- Offer strategic communications advice to the state public policy team on various challenges and opportunities.
- Organize and lead media events, industry events, and crisis communication efforts.
- Proven ability in public relations and media campaign execution.
- Strong ability to strategize and execute in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in technology and/or government sectors dealing with public policy issues highly preferred.
