Job Description

Responsibilities

List the primary duties and expectations of the role, including:

Public & Press Relations

Support department with product launches and brand initiatives

  • Develop a strong relationship with local PR agency for ensuring Qualitative and Quantitative media coverage
  • Manage all logistics and security requirements for product loans
  • Support celebrities/influencers/tastemakers dressings
  • Monitor press clippings and dressings
  • Continuously monitor and analyze media coverage of competitors and industry trends
  • Manages PR calendar to ensure that events are staffed and product coordinated

Events

  • Manage the planning, execution and follow-up of all events/initiatives/activations
  • Ensure positive ROI’s with each event/initiative/activation across press, retail and wholesale
  • Develop briefs and mood boards for events/initiatives/activations, as needed
  • Identify and suggest new vendors including but not limited to: catering, production, florist, etc.
  • Collaborate internal teams to identify and develop retail opportunities, such as events, sponsorships, and partnerships
  • Proactively propose event concepts

Communication (Internal & External)

Manage all internal and external communications, included but not limited to:

  • Editorial coverage & talent dressings
  • Advertising
  • Holiday Communication
  • Organization of trainings
  • Monthly recaps
  • Support the wholesale team with all the activities related to communications, advertising and events
  • Assist HQ Communication team in creating contents and assets for Vhernier’s internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, and employee.

Advertising & Collateral

Provide recommendations for the media plan in order to maximize brand awareness and exposure

  • Manage all retail and wholesale marketing material
  • Constant search for new media partners
  • Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Ensure advertising material are strictly followed HQ guideline
  • Maintain advertising calendar

Social Media

Assist HQ Communication team in community management

  • Identify potential influencers and content creators for local campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement

Administration

Assist Senior Management with oversight of the Communications Department local budget.

  • Keep track of local Communication budget spend
  • Attend internal meetings and carry out designated office duties as directed by Senior Management.
  • Ensure Brand Image is respected, and Brand Guidelines are followed in all activities.
  • Recommend new ideas to develop and improve per market the brand awareness and notoriety
  • Oversee the onboarding and payment execution for all current and new vendors
  • Follow up on Invoices for Advertising & Media, Production, Events and PR.
  • Act as liaison between corporate, external partners, and retail teams
  • Prepare marketing and PR reports, presentations and agendas/briefings in advance
  • Arrange client meetings as directed by Senior Management
  • Take accurate notes during team and/or client meetings and circulate notes in a timely manner.
  • Occasional travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, communications or a related field
  • Proficiency working with social media platforms and digital landscape
  • Past event planning experience
  • Ideal candidates should display an interest in the luxury industry, specifically jewelry
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, often-changing environment
  • Strategic thinker who can quickly adjust approach and priorities on a day-to-day basis
  • Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, positive and flexible. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with internal and external parties
  • Self-starter, high degree of initiative and independence – not afraid to ask questions, take constructive feedback, lead new projects and “roll up your sleeves” for any task at hand
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Travel required based on the needs of the business
