Job Description Summary:

Assists in a range of communications & marketing initiatives within the Office of College Relations & Marketing.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

  • May work in a specialty area within a department or office.

  • May coordinate, evaluate, develop, and implement specialized materials to support departmental programs.

  • May provide training or support training programs.

  • May review and process documents, maintain databases, and provide reports.

  • May provide information to others regarding processes and procedures.

  • May assist with general reporting and maintenance of databases as required.

Additional Job Specific Duties

  • Creating and distributing content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases as needed,

  • Tracking social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability,

  • Writes and edits news communications, including content for social media platforms, media advisories, news releases, feature stories, publications, and other storytelling opportunities.

  • Supports the Office of College Relations & Marketing in scheduling photography sessions at the direction of the Marketing Photographer and Associate Director of College Relations in alignment with marketing and college goals.

  • Supporting team at live and online events.

Knowledge

  • Processes and procedures related to the departmental work being done.

  • Maintaining an established work schedule.

  • Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy.

  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

Technology Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications and student information and database systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

  • Use communication platforms such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Word, and Excel.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds.

Other Requirements

  • Reliable Transportation.

  • Driving between ACC Campus locations will be required.

Safety

  • Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
