Position SummaryGeneral Position Summary: The Employment Specialist is responsible for providing individual support services to people with I/DD who are pursuing community employment. Services may include but are not limited to; person centered planning, discovery, skill assessment, volunteer opportunities, job training, customized employment, job retention and networking with employers in the community. This position has a monthly monetary expectation of $5500.00 and is subject to change with 30 day prior notification to the Employment Specialist as part of the job performance expectation.Position Details:Status: Full Time 32 - 40 HoursLocation: Salem, ORShift: Schedule varies based on program and service delivery needs and may include weekday, evening, and occasional weekend hours. Work hours and locations are assigned by management to support coverage needs across Employment Services programStarting wage: $22.20 HourlyWage Scale: $22.20 to $28.09Report to: CES - ManagerKnowledge:Two (2) year degree in Health Services or related field, with two (2) years of work experience in the healthservices and/or mental health field. Two (2) years of experience must have been in a position that included sales andtraining responsibilities. Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirements. Preference will begiven to those individuals that have experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.Requires demonstrated ability to learn and use current and future technology to fulfill job responsibilities. Requires acurrent Oregon driver's license, acceptable driving record and the ability to get from worksite to worksite in a timely manner.
