Community Public Safety Specialist

Compensation: $40,000 Annually
Location: Memphis, TN
HEAL 901 is hiring Community Public Safety Specialists to help reduce crime, support healing, and build safer neighborhoods in Memphis. This is frontline, community-based work, ideal for someone who is trusted in the community, calm under pressure, and serious about change.
What you’ll do (High Level):
- Interrupt conflicts and help prevent criminal activity before they happen.
- Build relationships with individuals at highest risk and their families.
- Be present in the community in priority neighborhoods and hotspots.
- Support healing by connecting people to resources and services.
- Document your work with brief daily logs and reports.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong ties to Memphis neighborhoods and community dynamics.
- Calm, steady presence in high-stress situations.
- Ability to build trust with people at highest risk for criminal activity.
- Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays consistently.
